About Greenwood Organics

Joanne and Jeff began Greenwood Organics in 2008 with a commitment to providing nourishing food to ourselves, our family and our community. That meant raising a diversity of vegetables, crops and livestock working in combination to build healthy soils and preserve the health of our land, forests and watershed with minimal off-farm inputs. This, in turn, led us to commit to meeting or exceeding the Canadian Organic Standards. (For more on our farming practices, look here.)

Greenwood Organics is situated on 57 acres of rolling hills on the Tay River watershed in Tay Valley Township, 20 minutes west of Perth, Ontario, Lanark County, and contains a mix of forest, wetlands, streams and cleared, cultivated land. We are continually inspired by the natural diversity and beauty of the space that we care for.
